The secret lives of senses
Welcome to the Cone Ground! Remember, the only limit is imagination!
I invite you to a journey, where touch, sight, sound, smell and taste are activated and intertwined through multiple interactions. The Secret Lives of Senses questions risk and safety, materials and ideologies embedded into play and toys as an intervention into the Bleecker Playground in NYC, ameliorating children’s post-Covid interactions with peers and parents.
Journey, focused on 2-6 years old children, main visitors of the Bleecker Playground, commences with Shoe Shelves under benches. Further steps are unique to every child and lead to the Cone Ground deciphering:
Musical Cones, Soft Tiles and Soft Steps.

Scale explorations of design interventions are expressed through Tim Burton inspired animation,
which initiated playground transformation into the Cone Ground.
CONE GROUND
I was following the senses of playground and it brought me
to the huge cones enlivening play with sound, touch, sight, smell and taste.
